Mindful Mornings

The morning time is such an opportune time to set the path for your day. When we wake up, our minds are fresh and ready to absorb. This is a great time to connect with your inner self, set your intentions for the day and direct your energy in a way that supports the life you’re building.

Here are some simple ways to start your day off more mindfully aware and present.

  1. Morning Breath:

It can become such a habit to reach for our phones the moment we open our eyes. Checking the socials, emails and tapping into the digital world can be such energy leaks. When we do the opposite, when we take time and space to reconnect with our inner selves, this creates a space of peace within us. Taking a few breaths, coming back home to your peaceful center, these are great ways to direct your energy in the way of your highest self.

  1. Intentions

Setting morning intentions, making to-do lists, mapping out how you want to see your energy expended is a way to connect with yourself on a deeper level of desires. Asking yourself, "how do I want to spend my energy and time today?" This helps us to be closer to our higher self, tap deeper into intuition and allows our gut to be our guide. Setting intentions and taking time to listen to your inner self is self love.

  1. Gratitude

The practice of gratitude can have a resounding impact on your life. Starting the day off with a few things you are grateful for can help shift your mindset for the whole day. It gives you a mental list of things to come back to when you’re feeling “ugh” about life. Gratitude is an excellent vehicle for happiness, as it can help shift our perspective and invite the good feelings in like happiness and joy.

  1. Mindful Movements

Engaging in movement is not only good for your physical body, it is vital for your mental wellbeing as well. Tending to the mind-body connection is a beautiful way to reconnect the fragments of self. When we take time to honor our bodies, we are also taking that time to connect these parts of self back to one another. Meditation is done in so many more ways than in sitting lotus pose, movement meditations are just as valuable, and are a wonderful way to start your day connected to your whole self.

Starting your day off in a more intentional way will help you to feel more connected to yourself and to the life that you are building and living in. Start your day in a way that is supportive of your higher self. Tap into the natural stream of energy within and unite yourself back into this flow state with your mindful mornings.

Love You.
