Full Moon in Sagittarius

This week (tomorrow June 11th) we have a full moon in the sign of Sagittarius, the great explorer. This is such a beautiful time to explore those depths within as the main super power for the energy of Sagittarius is expansion. The ruling planet of this sign is Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, giving us all an energetic boost in this area.

The magic of this sign really shines through, is a wonderful quality of positivity. (All of the fire signs have an energy of positivity and light that comes very natural to them.)  Use that energy to shine light into some of those darker corners of self. Illuminating the path ahead with confidence, just like the adventurous and bold Sagittarius.

One of the more shadowy qualities of this energy is a resistance to being “controlled” or conformed in any way. Sagittarius can want things THEIR way, and they can struggle when faced with the feeling of being restricted, bound, or forced into a box of any kind. Sagittarius is free and values freedom above all else, personal, spiritual, and emotional freedom.  Looking at your own patterns of will and exploring those depths can reveal hidden aspects of desire and ignite the fires within. Reclaim your voice, your power, the energy of Sagittarius is a powerful force of stepping into a new adventure as your authentic self. 

This Full Moon is called the Strawberry Moon. The Strawberries are coming into full season right now and there is a connection to the heart here. It was once said that  Sky Woman had twin daughters. One day, Sky Woman's daughters passed away and she planted them into the earth. Sky Woman laid them in the ground under the full moon in June and we were gifted the beautiful strawberry that grew from their hearts. This is the heart berry. (Potawatomi story)

As we dive into self work under this full moon, connect with your heart center to reveal your true authenticity, and propel you forward on your path to your higher self. 

Shadow work helps us to tap into the deeper rivers of subconscious thought and bring them to the forefront. Tapping into the heart and allowing that force to be the guiding light on the path of self-discovery, is the very essence of Sagittarius. Be bold, stand in your truth, and keep walking with your head held high.
