“Right Aspiration is what develops in the mind once we understand that freedom of choice is possible. Life is going to unfold however it does: pleasant or unpleasant, disappointing or thrilling, expected or unexpected, all of the above! What a relief it would be to know that whatever wave comes along, we can ride it out with grace. If we got really good at it, we could be like surfers, delighting especially in the most complicated waves.


What Right Aspiration translates to in terms of daily action is the resolve to behave in a way that stretches the limits of conditioned response. If I want to build big biceps, I need to use every opportunity to practice lifting weights. If I want to live in a way that is loving and generous and fearless, then…

Shadow work activity

Shadow work isn’t always about putting pen to paper, sometimes shadow work is about physically applying the principles that we’ve been learning about and writing about into our daily life.


The challenge/activity for today is about reframing how you respond to yourself when you make a mistake.


Examining the language that you use to yourself, the energy that you put off to yourself, and how you respond internally when you stumble externally. Take mental note throughout the day or even take notes in your phone and explore how it feels to tap in like this.


Are you kind to yourself when you make a simple mistake that everyone else makes? Or are you harsh and quick to judge? Spend the day paying attention to how you are with yourself as you simply exist as a human being, making little mistakes. Because after all, making mistakes is how we learn so…

An invitation

A valuable tool on the healing path is inviting your inner child, your inner being, to come out and enjoy experiences and safety of today.


Especially if you have a traumatic childhood or have been left, feeling unsafe, inviting that small part of yourself to come forward and enjoy the life that you have created can be a very healing way to calm some of those energies within that still linger from childhood.


This is something that I do when I do something fun. When I went to Disneyland about five years ago, I had never been. I invited my inner child out the whole time to enjoy an experience that I dreamed about as a child.
