New Moon in Libra

On Saturday, October 10, we have a new moon coming to us in the sign of Libra. The sun is also in the sign of libra, emphasizing the themes of balance, reciprocity, and highlighting relationships. Anytime the moon comes to us in the new phase, this is our invitation to put those energies into the universe that you want to see increase as the moon increases in size on its way to full phase.

Libra is ruled by the planet Venus. This energy is very balanced, seeks reciprocity and cooperation. Libra is sandwiched between virgo and scorpio and can be seen as the perfect mix of both of these intense energies. Libra is soft but firm, and this energy will shine the light on areas of life that have been out of balance. The energy of Libra is delicate yet strong. It is compromising yet, able to stand very strong on its own. Having this energy brought to us in the new position asks you to take a look at some of those energies in your life that feel blocking or restrictive in these ways.

It’s a time to harmonize your inner and outer worlds, to release the patterns of over-giving or self-abandonment, and to invite relationships and environments that truly reflect your inner growth. This New Moon asks us to look at balance and alignment, that sweet spot between giving and receiving, doing and being, mind and heart. Self-worth and looking at the deeper relationship with yourself is also a theme for this Moon cycle. Harmony begins from within and this is a reminder that true connection is born from form authenticity, not in sacrificing it. 

There is a lot to be said about the people that you surround yourself with and how that has a direct correlation to how you feel about yourself. It is very helpful to be surrounded by people who believe in you and your dreams. So as the moon brings us this beautiful energy of reciprocation, examine some of those reciprocal energies ( or the lack of ) in your own life.

What you are working to achieve, your goals and aspirations, the things that are important to you, absolutely should also be important to the people you surround yourself with. Your friend should want to see you succeed. Use this expensive energy of connection and relationship so help open the doors for supportive and reciprocal relationships in your own life. You can also extend this into the relationship that you have with yourself. Are you a supportive and cheerleading voice to yourself? 

One of the greatest rules of manifestation is in the energetic exchange of belief. You have to believe that it’s on its way or it will never come to you. Use this energy of expansion in the sign of libra to help open the doors for supportive relationships with others and with yourself while you are building the life of your dreams.
