Tao of Joy
Here is a beautiful passage from the Tao of Joy Everyday
PERSPECTIVES
The more we observe, the more we see that intelligence is not the solution to everything. Even the smartest among us make mistakes and need a helping hand from time to time. Why is that?
Tao sages have a simple way to explain this. They note that no matter how good your vision is, you still cannot see the back of your head. Similarly, it does not matter how intelligent you are, there will always be some things that others can see better than you can.
It is the way life works. All of us come into this world with different perspectives, and the only way we can approach the truth in any situation is to meld multiple perspectives into a more comprehensive view. No man is an island; no one does it alone.
The Tao Today
Make it a practice to never rely on a single viewpoint. Always sample other perspectives to see if there is a mental blind spot that has eluded your notice, and use this to remind yourself to be humble.
As you work your way through life, do not try to tackle everything by yourself. We are all in this journey together for one another.
You are my travel companion, just as l am yours.

Enjoy that sun friend!!
