Gratitude

Gratitude is an excellent vehicle for happiness.


When we are able to fill our hearts with gratitude, we welcome the possibility of joy and happiness as well. Making a mental list of things that you are grateful for in moments of despair is a wonderful way to welcome the energy of gratitude in to the energy of loneliness or despair or sadness.


This is not spiritual bypassing because the point is not to eliminate the uncomfortable feeling. The point is to welcome a different feeling to sit next to us as we allow the challenging feelings to pass. And gratitude is an effective way to welcome the process.
