Happy Summer Solstice!

This is a call to honor the light within as we welcome the Summer in. As we enter Cancer season, this is a beautiful time to tap into the energy of home, family, comfort and care. The energy of Cancer is tender and eager to provide care, this is such a beautiful time to offer yourself deeper kindness, love, and compassion as we enter a new season.

The Summer Solstice is an honor to the Sun, the giver of light and represents the transition of action into nourishment. The Moon is coming into her new phase on Wednesday, offering us a great opportunity for manifestation and really seeing the goals that have been planted earlier this year come to fruition.

As the Sun moves into the nurturing sign of Cancer, we’re invited to slow down and come home to ourselves: emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Cancer brings a gentle, intuitive energy that supports reflection, deep connection, and tending to what truly matters.

Here are 5 ways to tap into this Solstice-Cancer energy:

1. Create a cozy ritual space at home for self-reflection or meditation

Cancer is the sign of the home, the hearth, and emotional safety. Use this time to set up a small sacred space that feels comforting. Maybe with candles, soft textures, meaningful objects, or plants. This becomes a sanctuary where you can turn inward, reflect on how far you’ve come this year, and listen to your inner voice. Even a few quiet minutes here each day can help you realign with your emotional truth.

2. Spend time near water to soothe and recharge your emotional body

Cancer is a water sign, deeply connected to the element that symbolizes emotion, intuition, and flow. Visiting the ocean, a lake, river, or even a warm bath can help you release stagnant energy and reconnect with your own emotional rhythm. Let water hold you, soften you, and remind you to let your feelings move instead of getting stuck.

3. Connect with loved ones and share stories or a home-cooked meal

Cancer’s energy is heart-centered and familial. It invites us to deepen our connections with those who make us feel safe and seen. Gathering around food, especially something made with care, creates space for warmth, nourishment, and memory-sharing. These moments ground us in what really matters: love, presence, and belonging.

4. Journal on what “home” means to you and how you can nurture it

The idea of “home” isn’t always literal (it can be a place, a person, or a feeling). Take time to explore what home really means for you right now. Is it a physical space, a connection, or a deeper inner sense of safety and alignment? Ask yourself what feels like home, what doesn’t, and how you can tend to that space with more intention.

5. Set intentions rooted in self-care, emotional healing, and deeper belonging

While solstices are powerful times for setting intentions, Cancer invites you to go deeper, beyond goals and achievements into the realm of feeling. What emotional patterns are ready to shift? What kind of support do you need to truly thrive? Use this time to set intentions that focus on healing, creating inner safety, and calling in relationships or experiences that help you feel more held and whole.

Wishing you all a beautiful and abundant Summer.
