Slowing down
I don’t know about you all, but life has been moving a million miles an hour this spring. I haven’t been the best at making time for myself which is why i did the 30 days of shadow work to get back into habit of reflection and introspection.
Slowing down is what allows us to see clearly. It is what allows insights to gently rise to the surface.
As someone with anxiety, i also have a natural sense of urgency that i tend to with care. Tenderly reminding myself that it’s not an emergency. This is another way to slow down the busy and frantic mind. (Especially if you have an anxiety disorder or trauma related disorder). Taking a deep breath and slowing down your autonomic nervous system, dissipating the fight or flight response.
As the rain and grey sets in again for us PNWers, let this bring in a little stillness too. Let this be a reminder to slow down a little bit today. Take a moment to enjoy the life you’ve built.
Love you 🫶🏼
