Negative thoughts
We all have thoughts that evoke anxiety, anger, fear, all of the emotions that we tend to associate with suffering and unhappiness. We suffer so much because when we have these thoughts, we cling to them, taking them in as reality.
They are just passing by. These thoughts we have are not here to stay, they are only visiting. ( if we allow them to leave)
A beautiful way to allow this passing is to visualize each thought as a leaf drifting by on a river or a cloud passing by in the sky. Practicing being the observer and not reaching out to grab each thought that comes up. Let it in and let it back out again.
